What You’ll Learn
Our Harness & Lanyard Training course is designed for operators, supervisors, and managers who are required to use harnesses and lanyards as part of their work duties.
This is a half-day training course covering the following:
Overview of applicable Health & Safety laws and regulations, including the Work at Height Regulations 2005
Legal responsibilities of employees and employers
Types of harnesses and lanyards, and their appropriate uses
Correct selection and safe inspection of equipment
How to properly put on and wear different types of harnesses
Safe working practices while using a harness and lanyard
How to devise an effective rescue plan in case of an emergency
Proper storage of equipment
Duration: 3 – 4.5 hours (depending on class size and experience)
Target Group: Anyone involved in the selection, inspection, and use of harnesses and lanyards
