IATP Asbestos Awareness and Working with Non- Licensed ACM's

What you'll learn
This half-day awareness course provides delegates with essential information and instruction on how to avoid work that may disturb asbestos during routine activities which could impact the fabric of a building or other materials potentially containing asbestos.
Please note: this course does not prepare workers or self-employed contractors to carry out work involving asbestos-containing materials (ACMs).
The course can be delivered at our training centre or at a suitable site of your choice, provided all necessary facilities and equipment are available.
Category B – Working with ACMs (Non-Licensable Works Training in line with HSG210)
(One-Day Course, based on prior Asbestos Awareness training within the last 6 months)
Topics include:
  • Refresher: Asbestos Awareness (if obtained within the last 6 months)
  • EM1 – Emergency Procedures
  • EM4 – Use of a Class H Vacuum
  • EM5 – On-site Dust Suppression and Control Measures
  • EM6 – PPE and RPE: Correct Use and Selection
  • EM7 – Cleaning Down the Work Area
  • EM8 – Decontamination Procedures
  • EM9 – Correct Waste Handling on Site
  • Practical Training – Including PPE usage, control measures, decontamination, and more
