What You’ll Learn
Our Abrasive Wheel Awareness training course is designed for operators, supervisors, and managers who, as part of their duties, select, mount, specify, or use abrasive wheels — in line with the requirements of the PUWER Regulations 1998.
This half-day course is ideal for anyone involved in the selection, mounting, or use of abrasive wheels. It covers:
Types of abrasive wheels and diamond blades
Pre-use inspection of wheels and tools
Associated hazards and safe use
Correct selection and use of PPE
Fire prevention and control
Relevant legislation and regulations
Cutting and grinding techniques
Safe selection of wheels for different tasks
Target Group: Anyone involved in the selection, inspection, or use of abrasive wheels in the workplace.
Duration: 3-4.5 hours (depending on class size and experience)
